WASTC Faculty Development Week

This is the first of two 2018 Faculty Development Weeks organized by the Western Academy Support and Training Center (WASTC), held at Cabrillo College near Santa Cruz. The second one will be held a week later in Southern California.


Faculty Development Weeks (FDWs) are tailored for Information Communications Technologies (ICT) educators from high schools, community colleges, and universities throughout California. All ICT educators are welcome, and workshops are not confined to Cisco curriculum and content.


Educators pay $100 to participate, attending one week-long workshop per FDW. The following workshops are planned for the Cabrillo College FDW:

  • Palo Alto Networks Firewall 8.0 essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210)
  • DevNet: Emerging Technologies 1 & 2, Instructor Training
  • Get your networking mind wrapped around Python
  • Cryptography and Blockchains
  • CompTIA CyberSecurity Analysis+ ITIS 160
