About Faculty Development
Headed by Co-PI Tony Coulson (California State University, San Bernardino), CWW Faculty Development offers faculty opportunities to become professionals in the cybersecurity field through mentoring opportunities, educational programs, and networking with experts.
Faculty Graduate/Certification Program
CyberWatch West is committed to building the capacity of highly qualified faculty at member institutions by encouraging individual faculty members to pursue graduate studies in cybersecurity. The Faculty Graduate Program (FGP) enables qualified faculty to receive financial support from CyberWatch West for graduate study coursework in cybersecurity or for certifications. CyberWatch West reserves the right to change these policies at any time. This will not, however, result in denial of reimbursement if the faculty member has had courses approved for reimbursement.
Faculty Professional Development Training
CyberWatch West regularly hosts workshops for faculty on topics such as digital forensics and faculty mentors. Also, online Member Meetings often include presentations on new tools and techniques. To stay informed on professional development opportunities, sign up for CyberWatch West's email notifications and check the CyberWatch West event calendar on a regular basis.
